UK-based Ada Ventures closes its second fund at $80 million, focusing on inclusivity and diversity. It has attracted LPs including British Business Bank, The University Of Edinburgh, and others. The fund will invest in pre-seed and seed stage startups, with a focus on climate equity, economic empowerment, and healthy aging. Ada claims its portfolio is 14x more diverse than the UK VC average. It has a diverse Scout and Angel network which has produced 10 times the number of all female teams than industry benchmarks. Additionally, Ada offers emergency childcare support for founders. Co-founder and CEO, Check Warner, also comments on the recent controversy involving Hoxton Ventures' leadership.
