Apple has addressed the controversial storage speed issue in its new MacBook Air M3 model, resolving the performance problems experienced with its predecessor M2 chip. Through testing, it has been revealed that the M3 model has a faster SSD drive compared to the M2, with read and write speeds back to where they should be. The move to one NAND chip for the M2's SSD was not well-received, leading Apple to revert to a two-chip solution for the M3, resulting in considerably improved performance benefits. The M3 model also now supports external display, enabling users to connect two monitors. Despite its improvements, criticism remains around the base model's 8GB system RAM, with calls to make 16GB the minimum standard. Overall, the MacBook Air M3 is an impressive laptop, but further improvements are still desired.
