Canada and Germany have agreed to kickstart the trade of hydrogen as a clean-energy alternative to fossil fuels. This initiative involves both nations contributing €200 million for bilateral hydrogen auctions, with German Economy Minister Robert Habeck confirming the funding. The auctions will be facilitated through the H2Global platform, in collaboration with the Netherlands, showcasing joint efforts toward promoting clean energy solutions.
