Almost 100 Canadian business leaders have signed an open letter urging Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland to change investment rules for pension funds to encourage investment in Canada. The letter, published as an advertisement in major Canadian newspapers, includes signatures from prominent CEOs such as Tony Staffieri of Rogers Communications Inc. and John McKenzie of TMX Group Ltd. The CEOs of the country’s six largest banks are also involved, with Laurent Ferreira of National Bank of Canada being the only one to add his name to the letter.
