Chevron Corporation has restarted drilling activities in a pristine field in Venezuela, aiming to increase production as the US threatens to tighten sanctions. Drilling has been ongoing in the Orinoco Belt, known for its heavy crude, since mid-February, providing Chevron with a short-term opportunity to boost production. This move comes as the company's other two operated fields in the country are expected to start declining soon.
