China’s commerce minister, Wang Wentao, has held meetings with top global executives from technology, finance, and pharmaceutical industries in an attempt to boost foreign investment amid geopolitical tensions. His two-day meetings included high-profile figures such as Tim Cook from Apple Inc. and Kwak Noh-jung, CEO of South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix. Additionally, he met with the CEOs of Qualcomm Inc. and Micron Technology Inc., aiming to enhance business ties. This initiative comes as China seeks to address the slump in foreign direct investment, with a focus on strengthening relationships with leading global companies to promote mutual growth and collaboration.
