DoorDash has announced the launch of a drone delivery pilot program in partnership with Alphabet’s Wing, beginning in Christiansburg, VA. The pilot program is limited to eligible items from Wendy's and promises delivery in 30 minutes or less. DoorDash plans to expand the program to more US cities throughout the year. This initiative is reminiscent of similar programs that have been popping up, with Wing at the forefront of drone delivery innovation, offering efficient and convenient options for consumers. Wing's recent endeavors in drone delivery include partnerships with Walmart and the unveiling of a new delivery drone with impressive speed and payload capacity.
