In mid-March, a Hamas commander warned a Gaza clan to stop taking aid meant for hungry Palestinians, threatening death if they continued. Soon after, the commander was killed by Israeli troops, reflecting the complex power struggle in the region. The situation has led to the looming threat of famine and reports of people dying from hunger, as confirmed by the Hamas-run health ministry.
