Young workers, especially Gen Z, are bringing in a fresh perspective when it comes to seeking career advice. This generation, which makes up a significant portion of the global workforce, places a high value on work-life balance, remote working, and flexibility. They are also quick to change jobs if their needs aren't met and are focused on joining companies that prioritize diversity, inclusion, and environmental impact. Surprisingly, many from this cohort are turning to AI chatbots, like ChatGPT, for career guidance, finding them more helpful than their managers. However, while these chatbots can assist with various work-related tasks, their data may not always be up to date. As a result, some workers are struggling due to lack of clear career progression and goal-setting, leading them to consider transitioning to companies that better support their professional development.
