Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that the Circle to Search feature will be available on older Pixel and Samsung devices, including foldables and tablets, starting March 27. This feature, originating from the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and Google Pixel 8 Pro, will be included in the March Pixel Feature Drop for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. It will also be added to entry-level models such as the Google Pixel 7a and older models like Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Circle to Search will reach Google Pixel Fold and Google Pixel Tablet in the coming weeks. Additionally, older Samsung devices including Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 will also receive this feature. Notably, the Circle to Search feature will not be available on older Pixel 5 models or earlier due to the end of OS support. Users can activate it by pressing and holding the home button to circle an element for search, enabling the AI-powered search to identify and provide relevant results. This move shows Google's commitment to bringing advanced AI features to more devices, ensuring a wider user base can benefit from Circle to Search without being pushed to upgrade.
