⚠️ Heads up: this article is from our "experimental era" — a beautiful mess of enthusiasm ✨, caffeine ☕, and user-submitted chaos 🤹. We kept it because it’s part of our journey 🛤️ (and hey, everyone has awkward teenage years 😅).

Google's Threat Analysis Group and Mandiant have confirmed a surge in zero-day vulnerabilities in 2023, with 97 instances detected, indicating a 50% rise from the previous year. Notably, China was responsible for 12 of the exploited vulnerabilities, a worrying trend in cybersecurity. The report also reveals a shift in focus towards enterprise technology exploitation, reflecting evolving tactics by threat actors. While Google acknowledges the efforts of major tech companies in addressing vulnerabilities, the prominence of PRC cyber espionage groups in zero-day exploitation remains a pressing concern.
