Great news for Medicare beneficiaries with heart-related conditions, as major health insurers have announced coverage for Novo Nordisk A/S’s blockbuster weight-loss drug, Wegovy. Specifically, Aetna insurance unit of CVS Health Corp., Elevance Health Inc., and nonprofit insurer Kaiser Permanente will be covering Wegovy to help reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. This decision marks a significant step in making Wegovy more accessible to those who need it most.
