Japanese authorities conducted an inspection at Kobayashi Pharmaceutical Co.'s factory in Osaka following the recall of health supplements linked to deaths and hospitalizations. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare stated that three supplements made using red yeast are suspected of containing toxic or harmful substances. This prompted the on-site inspection on Saturday morning. The situation is raising concerns about product safety and oversight in the pharmaceutical industry.
