⚠️ Heads up: this article is from our "experimental era" — a beautiful mess of enthusiasm ✨, caffeine ☕, and user-submitted chaos 🤹. We kept it because it’s part of our journey 🛤️ (and hey, everyone has awkward teenage years 😅).

Researchers have discovered a security vulnerability with Meta's VR headsets, allowing attackers to spy and manipulate user environments. Dubbed the 'inception attack,' it enables attackers to control and manipulate the user's VR environment without their knowledge. The attack requires the hacker to be on the same WiFi network as the user and the headset to be in developer mode. Once planted with malware, the attacker can control a duplicate home screen and even manipulate what the user sees. Despite the severity of the attack, only a third of users noticed the glitch during the attack. Meta is yet to comment on the study's findings.
