Nissan has unveiled an ambitious plan to electrify 16 out of 30 vehicles it produces by 2026, with the remainder using internal combustion engines. The company also aims to release seven new vehicles in the US and Canada, focusing on 'e-POWER and plug-in hybrid models.' Nissan's goal is to have 60% of its vehicles electrified by 2030, an increase from its previous 50% commitment. Additionally, Nissan plans to enhance its battery strategies by producing vehicles with 'enhanced NCM li-ion, LFP and all-solid-state batteries' by 2028, in contrast to its previously announced 'all-solid-state' battery plans. This plan encompasses future investment strategies, regional plans, and manufacturing expansion. The announcement represents a significant leap in Nissan's push towards electric mobility.
