NYDJ and QVC have collaborated to launch the Marilyn Straight Adapt-Denim jeans, designed to make stylish denim more accessible for millions of wheelchair users. The jeans feature adjusted fit points, including a higher back rise and lower front rise, flat seams, faux front pockets, and woven tags. Mark Peters, NYDJ’s director of customer experiences and retail operations, emphasized the brands' commitment to inclusivity and accessibility. The development of the adaptive jeans took about two years, heavily based on input and feedback from the disability community. The partnership aims to provide inclusive and accessible fashion through adaptive clothing and home shopping. The jeans, initially exclusive to QVC, will soon be available on NYDJ's website. Priced at $89, the adaptive jeans offer a quality premium piece with ease of accessibility. The initiative has garnered positive feedback and hopes to influence others to get involved in accessibility and the disability community.
