Rivian owners can now charge their electric trucks and SUVs at Tesla Supercharger stations, following a software update allowing Supercharger access. The company also plans to send a Tesla-made adapter free of charge, facilitating connection to their vehicles' ports. Additionally, Rivian's upcoming vehicles will come with factory-installed NACS inlets. Rivian is emphasizing an open charging ecosystem, working with Tesla to offer a seamless digital experience and integration into Rivian's mobile and in-vehicle navigation apps. The company plans to install hundreds of its own DC fast chargers and offers access to most version 3 (V3) Tesla Superchargers using the adapter. This partnership provides Rivian owners with increased access to DC fast chargers, supporting the push for greater EV adoption.
