Rivian R2 Electric SUV Gets Over 68,000 Reservations in Less Than 24 Hours

Rivian's CEO, RJ Scaringe, announced that the company received more than 68,000 reservations for the all-electric R2 SUV within 24 hours of its unveiling. The $100 deposit secures a place in line for purchasing the R2. The five-seat SUV, priced at $45,000, offers more than 300 miles of range and is set to be produced at Rivian's Normal, Illinois factory, with production moving up to the first half of 2026. In addition to the R2, Rivian also introduced the all-electric R3 and R3x hatchback vehicles during the unveiling event.
