Shiba Inu (SHIB), the second most popular meme cryptocurrency, has been listed by Bitcoin.com.au, according to a Monday announcement. The exchange, which serves roughly 300,000 customers across Australia, has been in operation since 2014, making it one of the oldest digital asset trading platforms in the country. Apart from Bitcoin, the exchange offers various other cryptocurrencies, including Aave (AAVE), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Compound (COMP), Dai (DAI), and Dogecoin (DOGE). CoinJar, another Australian exchange, added support for SHIB back in December 2021, and a survey indicated that Shiba Inu was more popular than established cryptocurrencies like XRP and Cardano in Australia. Currently, SHIB is trading at $0.00002962 on major spot exchanges. As for cryptocurrency regulations in Australia, the government has proposed tighter regulations on cryptocurrency trading platforms to protect consumers and prevent platform collapses. Senator Andrew Bragg's bill for crypto regulation has been rejected due to various reasons. These developments show the growing influence of SHIB in the Australian cryptocurrency market.
