Tycoon Laurent Junique, founder of Singapore-based TDCX, has decided to take his call center company private just two years after its listing on the New York Stock Exchange. TDCX, with clients like Meta Platforms and Airbnb, listed on the NYSE in October 2021. Despite higher revenues, its stock has been on a steady decline. Junique, who owns 86% of the company, plans to buy the remaining TDCX shares for $7.20 each, valuing the company at $1.04 billion. The deal, unanimously approved by the board, is set to be completed in the second quarter of this year. Junique, a French citizen, laid the groundwork for TDCX in 1995 and rebranded it in 2019, offering diversified services. TDCX currently has over 17,800 employees across 30 global locations.
