Stellantis NV, the manufacturer of Jeep and Ram vehicles, is streamlining its product lineup towards electric cars, leading to a reduction of approximately 400 white-collar jobs in the US. This decision, impacting around 2% of the automaker’s global engineering, technology and software staff, is set to be implemented on March 31, as disclosed in a statement by Stellantis on Friday. The move reflects the company's strategic shift and adjustment to the evolving automotive landscape, emphasizing the increasing prominence of electric vehicles in the industry.
