Stellantis NV, the automotive group that owns brands like Fiat, Jeep, Peugeot, Citroen and Ram, is set to invest 30 billion reais ($6.1 billion) in Brazil between 2025 and 2030. This investment aims to boost the production of flex-hybrid models for domestic and potential export use to neighboring countries. Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares and South America head Emanuele Cappellano announced the plan after meeting with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in Brasilia. The majority of the funds will be allocated to flex-hybrid models, with the first launch expected in the second half of 2024.
