Former Concur CEO, Steve Singh, known for his visionary approach to corporate travel, has led a group of investors in the acquisition of Direct Travel Inc. The Colorado-based corporate travel management company, founded in 2011, generates over $300 million in annual revenue with 1,800 employees. With Direct Travel, Singh aims to create a seamless travel experience, a vision that dates back to his tenure with Concur. The acquisition also marks the appointment of Christal Bemont as Direct Travel’s new CEO. With investors including Durable Capital Partners, Madrona, Top Tier Capital Partners, and Blackstone Credit & Insurance, the partnership will extend to other companies where Singh serves as executive chairman, including Spotnana, Center, and Troop. This strategic move aligns with Singh's vision to use open architectures and APIs to enhance their solutions, focusing on AI and technological advancements to elevate corporate travel experience to new heights.
