The South China Sea dispute continues as China escalates tensions with the Philippines by deploying water cannons against Philippine vessels. The latest incident on March 23rd marks at least six occasions since August last year where Beijing has utilized this tactic. The use of water cannons reflects China's assertive stance in the region and raises concerns about escalating conflict in the area.
