Thailand Plans Massive $14 Billion Cash Handout Stimulus

Thailand is set to implement a $14 billion cash handout plan in the final quarter of this year. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin's government sees this stimulus as crucial to reviving growth in Southeast Asia's second-largest economy. Srettha will lead a meeting of the digital wallet committee on April 10 to finalize funding sources and technical details. Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat confirmed that the cabinet is expected to approve the program by the end of April, as announced on Facebook.
