The UK is embarking on one of its largest annual borrowing sprees to support government expenditures. The Debt Management Office has announced its intention to issue £265.3 billion ($338 billion) of gilts, which is in line with bank estimates. This borrowing target, the largest ever excluding emergency pandemic financing in 2020, marks a significant development in the UK's financial landscape.
