Ukrainian drone attacks have disrupted Russia's oil refining and export capacity, affecting about 600,000 barrels daily. This led to increased crude oil prices and geopolitical risks. The strikes have caused a significant reduction in distillate exports and knocked out about 900,000 barrels a day of oil refining capacity in Russia. Ukraine's steady campaign of drone strikes on Russian energy facilities has caused global oil prices to rise, with attacks halting about 7% of Russia's refining capacity in the first quarter. Despite this, Russia plans to increase its oil exports through its western ports. Experts believe that Ukrainian drone attacks will continue and expand, emphasizing the vulnerability of oil refineries to such attacks.
