⚠️ Heads up: this article is from our "experimental era" — a beautiful mess of enthusiasm ✨, caffeine ☕, and user-submitted chaos 🤹. We kept it because it’s part of our journey 🛤️ (and hey, everyone has awkward teenage years 😅).
The US Department of Transportation has approved $60 million in immediate funding for emergency work following the collapse this week of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge. This amount serves as a “down payment toward initial costs” as the Maryland state government works on emergency repairs, design, and reconstruction of the bridge. The federal agency stated that additional money will become available as the project progresses. The funds are intended to support the urgent restoration and reconstruction efforts essential for ensuring the bridge's safety and functionality in the future.
